Steel Castings

Steel is one of the most used metals for construction and other purposes. Be it cars, washing machines, locomotives, refrigerators, ships, or surgical instruments, all are made from steel. The two main components that make steel are iron and carbon. With almost 2% carbon and 1% manganese, the metal also consists of a few phosphorus traces, oxygen, silicon, and sulfur.

The higher reliability and strength make steel the preferred casting metal in industries like construction, railroad, transportation, drilling, and mining industries.

Different Varieties of Steel Castings

Below are the two major steel castings we manufacture and supply at our foundry.

Carbon Steel Castings

As the name suggests, this type of steel casting is classified based on its carbon content. We supply low, medium, and high-carbon steel castings of supreme quality to all the steel equipment manufacturers worldwide. These castings can be used based on the desired hardness and resistance.

Alloyed Steel Castings

Alloyed steel castings can be segregated as low or high-alloy steel castings. The low-alloy castings are similar to carbon castings but exhibit a higher degree of hardness. High-alloy steel castings are developed to produce a specific property, such as corrosion resistance, heat resistance, or wear resistance.

Types of Steel

Steel has several varieties when it comes to types of steel. Depending on the types of chemical, physical, or environmental requirements, there are more than 3,500 grades of steel. Modern steel is lighter and more substantial when compared to the steel used in the past.
